Her career began as a beat reporter covering the Baltimore police department for one of the country's oldest Black-owned newspapers. Krishana worked at a reporter for The Baltimore Sun covering education, and has penned pieces for BBC News, NBC and various local and regional magazines.
Krishana received her B.A. in political science from Morgan State University and a MPA from the University of Baltimore. A Baltimore native, Krishana relocated to Georgia with her husband and child.
